It's hilarious. A character basically looks at the audience and says "x is not happening" and a bunch of people walked away going "x happened, called it". It's the largest mass media literacy failure in history.

Mind you I do think S6 is a dip in quality. But so was S3. Overall the show is great.

I'd argue that the Man in Black isn't inherently evil. He's certainly become a murderous manipulative asshole by the time of the show but if they had just let him leave when he wanted to originally, it'd have been fine. But once he became tied to the island, him leaving had too severe consequences.

Just going to go ahead and consider this the third time I've bounced off this game.

Was at my grandma/aunt/cousin's house for Christmas dinner and their cat jumped on me and started headbutting my forehead and I almost cried.

The emotional crux of the WW's story revolves around the fact this game takes place after OOT and EVERYONE is looking for the Hero of Time or his descendants. It's why HoW's sister is kidnapped, plus him NOT being the HoT but still having the courage to be a hero is a whole point.
"Nothing gained"?

The only thing Hyrule Historia really added was the third timeline. Which is a blatant retcon that I do have issues with. But to take that and turn it into "none of these games being connected adds anything meaningful and I don't care if you can explain the connections" is ridiculous.

Naturally, I did not walk in further. But this was also when I noticed... nobody was around. Like, no shoppers, no employees. The classic rock echoed hauntingly at this point, the field of unattended trees suddenly felt very creepy. Practically ran back to the car and sped out of there.

The first thing I noticed were two big banners of Trump hanging at the entrance. One had an AI generated photo of him as a king with "Trump 2028" on it. I looked down, carved into the pavement was "MAGA". I looked inside, there were cutout heads of RFK JR saying weird slogans. Classic rock blared.
