Weirdly excited today - we did the big meal last night so it’s basically a curry today and then my coconut rice pudding. Here is me last night picking out the cardamom pods with a head torch.

So, about 1/3 of my Christmas decorations are up.
My main barrier to completion is that my Christmas decor taste is “1970s electrical fire” and I stupidly painted my hall this grown up beige pink farrow and ball thing this year, which is forcing me to make it look more restrained.

Hob died about 3 months ago while in warranty. After about a month of threatening legal action, someone arrived, took it away and gave us a temporary hob. Then 2 months later, after threatening yet again, someone arrives to install a replacement. This is fairly normal for doing business here.

Great detail on the impact of the occupation on Indonesia, Suriname too and the role that played in regaining independence. Currently has a great temp exhibit on Josephine Baker
