The guiding light of #haptics is also its Achilles' heel. Companies have spent years trying to make us ‘feel grass,’ but current consumer technology has fundamental limits.

I'm the kind of person that buys a kit to grow grass and then refuses to cut it because she saw something about how grass emits a signal notifying plants around it of danger.

Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating.
This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens.
(Even better: Tesla will hate this)
