This is oddly not discussed in the media and it should be. It’s dangerous.

Whether or not this will end up actually happening, it will create division and anger. There is already division here in BC between urban/rural, conservative/ndp/green, northern/southern. This pipeline may never be built, but it will provide fuel for peoples misplaced anger and hateful rhetoric.

This reminds me of the 2012 Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, where theives stole over $18M worth of maple syrup from the maple syrup strategic reserve in Quebec.

I am a citizen of BC and am very against this pipeline. The tanker ban is in effect for a reason. The Feds and Alberta may have decided to do this, but BC is who will be dealing with the fall out and any environmental disasters. And the Feds don't seem to care.

Where I grew up the danger wasn't deer because most people drove big trucks. The danger was moose.
A moose can total a car.
A moose can flip over your truck cab to land in the back of your truck and then kick your back windows.
A moose can and WILL stomp you flat for looking at their calf.
