The dance is ending, parents are carrying random scythes, wigs, and pitchforks while trying to corral their sugar hyper children out to the vehicles. We are all simultaneously hoping if we leave 15 min early we'll beat the traffic in the parking lot.

- cheerleaders are popular this year apparently? There's about 4-5.
- spooky things like witches, grim reapers, etc.
- lots of boys in ninja type costumes
- surprisingly no Minecraft that I saw, and no Pokémon (usually I see a bunch)
- but there were TWO plague doctors! ❤️

I’ve spent the last two hours at my kiddos elementary school dance. Here is my summary of costumes seen and not:
-LOTS of k-pop demon hunters, mostly HUNTR/X, but one dad is dressed as the demon version of Jinu.

In case anyone is wondering what Cleo is up to lately, she’s been my picketing buddy buddy for the last three weeks. She’s bringing joy to all of us on the line and charming passersby.

It’s absolutely right that workers walk off the job in response to the government taking a chainsaw to Canada Post.

If we lose the unique national infrastructure the postal service has, it will never be rebuilt. We should be using it to expand services to the public, not nickel and diming it.

If you're looking for ways to fight the despair from the state of the world like I am, may I recommend booking a tour at your local wildlife rescue, or walking dogs that need to be adopted or booking an animal meet and greet at your local zoo. Being with animals reminds me of the good in the world

This is Cleo, which is short for Cleopatra. She is a mini golden-doodle. We call her Cleo-babilio, Cleo-bear, Sweetheart, and 'the bestest Cleo in the whole wide world'. When she's in trouble my daughter calls her 'CLEOPATRA ELOISE!'

Cleo, a mini golden doodle, sleeping with her paws and belly in the air. She is almost the same colour as the caramel blanket she lays on. Her ears are all flopped over.
