So I knew very little about Link, but my defense of it was more direct. One of my assumptions, which isn't necessarily shared by all, is that non-gore posts (on this site at least) about Kirk are generally steeped in irony – a result of the ludicrous response to his death by the right.

Not a threat, its a post that works on many levels:

1: Exasperation at her argument

2: Keying off consequences: Is Kirk getting killed the type of consequences she's describing?

3: Kirk was an outrage merchant and after his death, the outrage at people who pointed that out was condoned.

Yea, but his target audience isn't actual lay people, its investors

Someday, somewhere, a lucky associate is going to find the perfect silver bullet case law.

It was a home for her Niece in Norfolk, Virginia. The form in which it was incorrectly listed as her residence was a power of attorney form for the benefit of her Niece. This was not a primary application document and the mortgage she was applying for did not require it be her primary residence.
geoffbowser.bsky.social
Why is that a relevant question. Lots of people own property in multiple places. The whole point of this investigation is that this is not her primary residence. The Feds are claiming she told the bank it was her primary residence (despite her making it clear in multiple filings that it wasn't).

The property in question is in the EDVA I believe

Stacy Chaffin did a damn good job of fighting through bad faith questioning here. Like really a masterclass on how to disarm the bullshit and demonstrate how it doesn't even match the standard the bad faith Judges are presenting.

Judge Nelson can't be this dumb, like I don't think it's possible he could be this dumb and still get up in the morning and put on his shoes and get out the door.
geoffbowser.bsky.social
These Judges are obscene.

I don't agree that legitimacy is an all or nothing proposition. We should follow Supreme Court decisions because unless we want to abandon the Constitutional order entirely, we need to. But the collapse of their legitimacy should lead to Court reform and a lack of presumption of stare decisis.

This is certainly similar to Kissinger, I think its less analogous to Arafat (even assuming the accuracy of the view that Arafat is directly responsible for a campaign terrorism against civilians).
geoffbowser.bsky.social
He's pretty clearly on track for that. Back of the envelope math he's responsible for at least 491,000 based on COVID response.

I would argue that estimate is low since it doesn't factor in his role in spreading misinformation and the delayed initial response when he pushed to ignore it.

Look, the bus is great and more people should take it.

Oh, so a term of art for programmers, not lawyers, seems consistent with the quality of legal work this program can be expected to perform.

"But we have a different and opinionated approach"

I don't think this is a selling point. Wouldn't you want your legal AI to be viewpoint neutral?
geoffbowser.bsky.social
A flight attendant explained to the plane that they would have done that if he was in business class, but that the rules don't permit that in an exit row. This makes sense as a rule. You don't want someone refusing to open the door if you have to emergency land on the Hudson.

lol at ct street being an issue because of a bike lane. It's a 4 lane parking lot/highway at Trader Joe's.

It's also giving Lana Del Rey.

I like it, and I think those artists would like it too. I don't think its stealing, but certainly building on.

Btw, I just want to say that I really appreciate the time you took to engage with me on this yesterday. You could have easily dismissed me as someone who always defaults to defending shitty aggressive male behavior online. Instead you engaged with me in good faith and I'm thankful.
geoffbowser.bsky.social
Very reasonable take. I don't have a problem abiding by those rules or being a part of a community that does. I question it when its used retroactively after an extending back and forth on an issue where the CEO of the company appears to be giving large portion of the user base the middle finger.
