Thanks. I was wondering if it was a Hawk's Wing, but that one has teeth and not gills. It looks like it is some kind of Agaricus species. Maybe "Scaly Wood Mushroom (Agaricus Sylvaticus)"

This could be a Blewit (Clitocybe nuda) aka (Lepista Nuda)

Did you had a chance to see if these have teeth or gills underneath?

I normally get THC hangover, even from CBD gummies that have traces of THC. It wasn't as bad as it is from THC. I guess GABA inhibitor recovery is the same no matter how you get it at my age :-)

So I did receive these and tried them last weekend. I was surprised how big they were. The size of an oreo layer. I bit half and then maybe an hour later had a second half. Not much difference, maybe similar high to a glass of wine without feeling drunk. But the next day I still had a hangover

Yes. It doesn't taste like anything so like octopus it will absorb whatever you cook it in, but it has an interesting crunch to it. Apparently it is also an aphrodisiac. At least for rats: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29604915/

Regarding boiling, Norwegian food safety authority and says that mushrooms should be put in cold water and brought to a boil, letting them boil for 10 minutes to remove toxins in them, and that this should be done even if you plan on frying the mushrooms afterwards.

I never questioned this method before since this is how my parents taught me. However, based on the recommendations I read online, letting mushrooms sit in salted water will get rid of any tiny critters, especially in the wild foraged mushrooms.

After 3 hours or so I noticed I'm a bit more light headed then usual. Google Bard indicated: "Some people have reported feeling euphoric or light-headed after eating Suillus granulatus, but these effects are likely due to the mushroom's high nutritional value, not to any mind-altering compounds."

So I let the mushroom soak overnight in salted water with a bit of red wine. I then boiled it once for 10 minutes and then replaced water and let it boil for another 5 minutes. After that I fried it in oil with onions and sour cream. The taste was "so-so".
