Out on the R/V Endeavor for expedition EN731, exploring methane seeps on the Atlantic Margin with AUV Sentry.

These seeps reveal some of the most active, fascinating spots on the seafloor—and Sentry’s been crushing it with high-res imaging and sensor dives

I am currently on a NSF supported research expedition investigating deep-sea natural gas seeps just off the US East Coast. My collaborators and I are working around the clock to document these enigmatic features and the influence they have on seafloor biodiversity, chemistry, geology, and resources.

I am a scientist and an educator. I cannot believe that everything so many of us have dedicated our adult lives to is being destroyed - burned down - for no reason other than knowledge imperils their vision of the future. This must be reversed. Pls share widely!
Exclusive: NSF stops awarding new grants and funding existing ones
US science funder also plans to screen grant applications for compliance with ‘agency priorities’.
