Oh no!! I'm so sorry 😔 I have tachycardia too, and it sucks! Mine is not due to my thyroid though - I imagine that brings with it a whole host of issues 😢

Oh, I am using codeine only as a last resort!

This is why I *need* gynae to do something about my Endo/Adeno. Because I can't keep having severe pain that impacts my blood pressure for days on end.

It's so hard to balance competing health needs, isn't it? 😫

I thought I was okay with ibuprofen, but my chest was worse this week, so maybe it does affect my Asthma 🤔

I see GP on 15th so will speak to him about my options. I'm only supposed to take pain meds up to 10 days per month (chronic migraine issues) but have gone way over this month 😳

It's wild how differently we all react, isn't it? Apparently there is an enzyme that can affect how you metabolise codeine (amongst other things).

I am super sensitive to loads of meds, and have to take a lower dose than normal. Yet a sedative for medical procedures does fuck all for me 🙃

The GP was going to give me Naproxen, but when I had it before I ended up with severe stomach pain 😫 so we try codeine...

I am on a low dose of Imipramine, which is an older antidepressant.

Oh my word, that's terrifying!!

I've never had quite such an extreme reaction. Thankfully.

During labour they gave me a half dose of diamorphine though and I fell asleep throughout transition and was still dozing off between pushing 😂 @theajane.bsky.social said I was gurning! I was so out of it.

I took 15mg of codeine. The standard dose for anyone over the age of 12 seems to be 30-60mg. Yet I am fucked 🤪

I don't think people realise just how sensitive I am. It's worked wonders on my back pain and cramps. But wow, my head is a mess 🙃

New weird symptom of the day:

Severe tongue pain. Like deep in the muscle in the left hand side. Accompanied by an ache in the roof of the mouth, throat, and jaw.

I have absolutely no idea what this is about 🙃 First dose of codeine helped my back, and then I get a new pain.

Having a full on day with 3 appointments, one an hour's drive away via some very bumpy one lane country roads was not ideal for my pain levels 😫

And couldn't pick up my new meds today, so no stronger pain meds until tomorrow. Tonight is gonna be rough. Boo.

Saw GP today. She said my pain is very "non-spcific" - heard that one before 🙃 so most likely is my Endo/Adeno, even though more widespread than usual.

She's prescribed codeine & doubled my blood pressure medication. Fingers crossed things settle down soon.

Follow up already booked in for 15th.

I have the exact opposite - I get way more traction on Threads.

For example, I posted something asking people to share their favourite books set in Autumn (self recs very welcome) and I think I only had one reply here. I got way more on Threads.

I started playing Pokemon Scarlet yesterday. It is only my second game (first was Sword). I only got into Pokemon at the beginning of this year, so I am still learning lots.

It has been a boon for occupying my anxious mind today as I rested. But I want to know - who is/are your favourite Pokemon?

I want to buy watercolor and gouache. I've always made due with Walmart specials, but now I have some funds for decent materials and I don't recognize 3/4 of the brands here.

Do you know what's WILD about finally being dx'd with PCOS? Now that I'm medicated (metformin) I can be full and not gain weight 👍

Last night we were questioning if I should go to A&E.

This morning, I got a tiny bit of bleeding, which suggests that all of this is, in fact, Endo (& Adeno) related. You know, the thing that 2 gynaes have totally dismissed over the past couple of years, despite clear evidence of it 🤬
