And only the lord knows what the Broncos are up to. GM George Paton squanderes picks and cap space for a living.

The Bears are mercenaries, too. Wow no picks.
November 25, 2025 at 5:11 PM
The Patriots are mostly mercenaries.
November 25, 2025 at 5:10 PM
As noted many times the Rams are brilliant. So many undrafted players.

Here are the picks that got the snaps in week nine.

Cowboys roster isnt that dysfunctional. Here's who got the snaps in week nine.

Colts send two R1 picks for all-pro corner. For most teams that would obliterate the talent pipeline. Picks too precious! But Colts currently ranked 8 w homegrown picks getting ~60% of snaps. They have been steadily building and (like Packers moving up during 2025 draft) can afford it.

And here is what they carted out there week nine
November 4, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Some evidence for Dolphins and GM Chris Grier split. Dolphins ranked 30 in snaps to homegrown picks, 4th highest in elsewhere picks, 5th highest in undrafted players. Roster is destitute.

No need to credit/plug this. I am no one, I am nothing. But it's good data that matters. Here is a season-to-date relationship between homegrown picks and winning.

Cardinals are ranked 13 in percentage of snaps top homegrown picks. Here are the season-to-date percentages for all player origins.

Here are the draft picks—both homegrown and elsewhere—the Cardinals played last night. Expressed in percentage of snaps. Ho-hum relative to rest of leage but improving, for sure.

Updated season-to-date Ravens splits after obliterating the shabby Dolphins on TNF ...

Here's what they've been carting out all season. For every Dolphins snap there are only four draft picks on the field 😶

Here's what the Dolphins carted out last night.

You want those late rounders. Every last pick helps save money and contributes to emergent behavior.

The Titans logo, like its roster, is an enflamed mass hurtling through time and space destined for cataclysmic impact.
October 27, 2025 at 9:20 PM
This is an example of a healthy roster that has a better chance of absorbing the loss of a key player.
October 27, 2025 at 9:11 PM
Ryan Poles (and by proxy Kevin Warren) didn't give Ben Johnson much to work with. That's third worst homegrown picks just above Dolphins and Vikings.
October 27, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Sad state of roster affairs Kwesi handed his coaches.
October 27, 2025 at 9:02 PM
The roster is destitute. Chris Grier saddled them with nothing and everyone but the front office has to answer for it.
October 25, 2025 at 4:27 PM
And here is the drafted player summary for the week 7 blowout win against the bannana bunch #Chargers. It bodes well rounds 1-4 are the strongest rounds.
October 21, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Here is the week-over-week trend of percentage of homegrown picks above league average. #Colts are well above average each week.
October 21, 2025 at 9:09 PM
But the worm may have turned. It somewhat coincides with Shane Steichen (hired in 2023) but Ballard’s percentage of snaps to homegrown picks has been increasing. And through seven weeks the #Colts are ranked 8 at almost 60%. Here are their splits through seven games:

Guess it’s time to discuss the #Colts, with their predominantly white uniforms and Just For Men general manager. (Sidenote, can we trust a dude with chocolate lettuce? Aging men of the world: 50 is the new 30, you can appear less old simply by going to the gym and eating well.)
