Assipatle was pale and slender. Some say he was beautiful. His brothers mocked him cruelly, laughing at his sagas and dreams. They told him he had lady’s hands because they did no work. Unperturbed, Assipatle continued to lie in the ashes by the peat fire and danced naked in the sun on the meadow
