Wouldn't productivity artificially increase during economic recessions, as hiring is limited and layoffs abound?, The inputs side of the equation goes down as the existing workforce starts doing the work that previously was done by the missing employees, up until they just can't anymore?

This happened to me yesterday, where I was in a loop being prompted for my birthday, but couldn't actually set it. Turns out I was logged in using an "app password", and everything cleared up as soon as I logged out and back in using my main password.

I feel a bit conflicted about rooftop solar, since it forces the investment onto the individual homeowners, is dependent on specific roof slopes and shade clearance, and moves away from the community based cost/benefit of typical utilities. Locally beneficial, but community based would scale better.
