One of the best things you can do as a writer to enhance your writing chops is to explore a medium/media you otherwise don't consume. Not much of a movie person? Try a few! Never checked out anime before? You might be surprised with what you discover!

I'm sure there's a million people that feel the same, but I find it easier to edit my writing than to get the first draft down for whatever reason.
