Special guest in the yard this evening at dusk

Looks like every team had a version. A quick search on eBay and Etsi turned up these two

Nice evening outside, though harder to enjoy it knowing what so many others are going through right now

If it was, Melania would be in big trouble (along with scores and scores of other con artists)

I appreciate protest signs with a sense of gratitude

New protest sign appeared today. I couldn't agree more. End road work! No pavement markings!

Some new orchids in the house (I have no idea what variety though) #flowerfridayfamily

Ok, my New Year's Eve just kicked into high gear.

That title font (if not the ad copy) is weirdly similar to another chicken restaurant's modern ads

A lot of people do actually, but the ones I have aren't really the right style. I do get a kick out of the ones they put the little Santa hats on though. This one is down the street every year.

Soaring or perched up high, just about every day. In the yard? Maybe a few times a year. I see the Great Horned Owls up close much more often. Last time I saw one up close was about 6 weeks ago, on a walk down the street.

Unfortunately not I think. I logged out of the Trib, and all I see with the link is this

Ok, it was hectic and I didn't get a pic till after everything got pretty well decimated but it turned out well (if not pretty deflated by this point)

Unexpected Thanksgiving guest

It was so much a recipe as me just experimenting with different flavored sugar cookies. Plain were ok but nothing special. Cinnamon sprinkled just a little better. The ones where I rolled the dough ball in a spicy curry powder before baking though were fantastic!

If you've never made your own cranberry sauce, this is your year to try! You can use the recipe on the bag as a starter, but I'd add recommend the following to really enhance the flavor: orange zest from 1 orange, fresh ground pepper, tiny bit of salt, ginger (fresh minced or dried), & cinnamon.

Experimented with a variety of sugar cookies today. Plain were ok. Cinnamon sprinkled liberally on top were better. The best version? Rolled in a hot curry powder before baking. These are fantastic! Sweet initially, then the warmth of the spices kicks in, and the heat builds to a big finish.

I can't take credit for this one but one of my neighbors has been putting in some serious effort. #flowerfridayfamily

The lack of wage growth in the US is definitely not a factor though

The aurora is barely visible from outside Phoenix, almost not at all to the naked eye. Nightsight photo captures a bit of a red hue. Better than nothing!

Very faint hue in GC, picked up on Nightsight image (Android). Barely discernable to the naked eye though.
