It's unofficial but the name is on the building now. Also not a lawyer but I believe lawyers exist to confuse issues anyway, not for their original intended purpose. I feel like artists have a moral right to not perform there. I don't know about the legal part.

I agree. I support them cancelling. I wish I had a lawyers knowledge, so I could be sure that these artists won't actually have to pay a million dollars for cancelling.

NYT story on this just posted, and it's appropriately harsh, emphasizing another angle: Top DOJ officials had a heavy hand in this prosecution and may have misled the court about their involvement. All this because Trump/Miller have to "win" against this day laborer.

Recall that Trump/Miller have refused to deport Abrego Garcia to Costa Rica even though he's signaled acceptance of that. They must deport him to the country of *their* choice because otherwise it won't look dehumanizing and cruel enough. This is abominable conduct.
