if I didn't use social media to learn those things I would probably still see myself as a broken person, with intense depression and anxiety that I couldn't find the source of. turns out that my depression and anxiety were caused by unaddressed neurodivergent needs, and I rarely feel them anymore.

many things actually, but the best thing was probably learning about the experiences of people with autism and ADHD. once I was able to understand my own neurodivergence, I was able to love and accept myself for the first time, and everything in my life has improved because of that.
