Unvaccinated infants are the second most likely group to get hospitalized for Covid after older adults. Any effort to minimize the effectiveness for kids is evil.

getting further into RDR2, I really enjoy how the story is going. just saved Jack, and I love how the game is kind of forcing the player to confront the following: sure, the adults might want to live this way, but is it really fair to force the child to live that way too? like, no, probably not.

LRP: my boomer parents took until me and my sibling became adults to fully realize how fucked things are for us, and when that happened they became locked in Conservative haters for life

If you expect Mark Carney won't take pipeline blame whether it's built or not, I have bad news for you: opposition parties aren't going to be charitable in their framing and voters aren't always charitable, or consistent, themselves.

Carney will be seen as Captain Pipeline.

LRP: I am an NDP supporter at heart but I happen to live in Kitchener Centre and find the Greens here to be pretty great! I've been super bummed ever since the election about the Greens losing their seat. excited for him about this new role!! 💚

“This culture of repression leads to medical settings, given how disempowered patients are to protect themselves, being the place where coerced infection is perhaps most rampant”

No one should have to choose between care & Covid

But healthcare workers are denying the risk & patients pay the price
“… coerced infection—the complete lack of mitigation and the normalization of mass and repeated infection of a debilitating virus—is ubiquitous throughout society.“

Clean power growth is now covering all new global demand. Solar and wind generated 635 TWh in the first nine months of this year, exceeding the 603 TWh rise in global electricity demand, and holding fossil generation flat for the year. buff.ly/zRmwAmg

Q3 Global Power Report: No fossil fuel growth expected in 2025 | Ember
Solar and wind power grew fast enough to keep up with rising electricity demand in the first three quarters of 2025, as fossil fuel growth should be stagnated. Ember forecasts no growth for fossil…

Canada needs some kind of political party on the left that could take the place of PM Harper's Liberals. Some kind of new party, a democratic one maybe.

This afternoon, I informed the Prime Minister of my decision to resign as Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, Minister responsible for Official Languages, Minister of Nature and Parks Canada, as well as his Lieutenant in Quebec.

Already lost one Minister over it. Will be sinking the chances at reelection for LPC MPs in BC and QC. Will be alienating Indigenous folks and progressives. Much simpler explanation than 4D chess: he is focused on extractive industry profits.

Btw, if Carney is going to put it on BC and First Nations to stop a pipeline he doesn't actually want, he's *worse* at politics (and a worse person) than we thought.

I wish I could believe "he's just doing 4D chess and it'll all work out" but the dude needs to learn that optics are extremely important. even if it's true that things will be okay (which I doubt), the moves he's making simply Do Not Look Good, and that's enough for most people. that's how it works.
