I took a photo of the president’s latest portrait unfurled outside a federal building.

This one is outside the U.S. Department of Labor.
Ahaha, he’s going to make them choose sides, isn’t he?

DHS is shutting down because it refuses to obey the law. They are tear-gassing schools, killing American citizens, and disappearing legal immigrants. Democrats shouldn’t fund an out of control ICE.

Trump: “The Democrats refuse to vote for Voter I.D., or Citizenship. The reason is very simple — They want to continue to cheat in Elections. This was not what our Founders desired … There will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not!“

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

More specifically, what Trump is saying here is…

“I don’t even care what happens in these Democratic cities. They are insane. They are the enemy within. I just want to protect our armed and camouflaged goon squads at all costs.”

You are not an American to him.
You are an obstacle.
For the record, this is what the National Guard mobilizations were all about. It wasn’t about protecting the public; it was about sending a message to citizens.

“If you don’t like what we’re doing with federal law enforcement in your city, here’s a taste of what will come next.”
Trump: "The Democrats have gone crazy. They're radical left lunatics. That's why their cities are so unsafe. The blue cities are the cities that are unsafe. So we have to protect our law enforcement."

Trump is not so much capitalizing on *existing problems* as he is capitalizing on *existing narratives.*

We have seen historic decreases in crime since the COVID peak in 2021.

Crime is not spiraling out of control. But this isn’t about crime, it’s about stereotypes and friend/enemy distinctions.
He is capitalizing on existing problems. Although, it wasnt this bad 15 years ago.

Well holy fucking shit. Ring cancelled their partnership with Flock. Keep pressure on them to stop volunteering their feeds to state, local, and federal agencies, though, because that part's still going.

this is incredibly frustrating. By framing this as a policy demand Dems are aiding a disinformation campaign that is intended to confuse the public about what is constitutionally required.

More than 400 people, including hundreds of citizens, were “sorted” at gun point into racial and ethnic groups by 200 ICE agents who fired flash-bang grenades into cars with people inside, pointed guns at children & demanded their zip tied parents not comfort them. apple.news/Ausdx6kWtT0e...

Its frustrating as hell that antisemitism makes it really hard to talk about class warfare with the kind of language predatory billionaires deserve and I increasingly come around to the idea "that is not an accident" in that the wealthy elite have long engineered scapegoats for their own behavior.

Look, not everyone that is caught in the cogs of fascism is rotten to the core. Some are opportunists, others are traumatized and hollow shells of human beings.

They are still accountable for their actions, but there is a world of a difference between Pam Bondi and Stephen Miller.
