Several new data privacy protections went into effect on January 1, 2026 under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act – like Universal Opt-Out & a ban on the sale of personal data for children under 16.

If you get a text message saying you have unpaid tolls or traffic fines, it may be a scam.

The Oregon Department of Transportation is warning about a phishing scam going around, where unsolicited text messages pretend to be the Oregon DMV or Oregon Dept. of Transportation.

Yesterday, a federal judge ordered an important check on the excessive use of force we saw at the Portland ICE facility this past weekend.

Big thanks to the 400 people who packed the house at our Forest Grove Town Hall on Friday.

We heard real fear and concerns about immigration enforcement in Washington County, as well as questions about education, land use, and more.

We just announced a $17.85 million settlement with Bausch and Lannett to resolve allegations that the companies engaged in long-running conspiracies to inflate & manipulate generic prescription drug prices.

This settlement is about accountability & fighting for working families.
