If you get a text message saying you have unpaid tolls or traffic fines, it may be a scam.

The Oregon Department of Transportation is warning about a phishing scam going around, where unsolicited text messages pretend to be the Oregon DMV or Oregon Dept. of Transportation.

This week, we filed comments opposing a new proposed rule from the federal government that would roll back fuel economy standards that keep Oregonians safe and put money in the hands of oil companies – instead of consumers. #orpol
AG Rayfield opposes rollback of fuel economy standards that keep Oregonians safe & save Oregonians money AG Rayfield and a multistate coalition have filed comments in opposition to a new proposal by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that would weaken fuel economy standards for passenger cars and light trucks. The coalition argues that the proposed rule would put money in the pocket of oil companies rather than Oregonians, and hurt consumers and the planet. “Drivers shouldn’t have to pay more at the pump as they’re already struggling to afford groceries and bills while oil companies get a windfall. This is the just latest way the Trump administration is attempting to increase the cost of living for working families.”

We just announced a $17.85 million settlement with Bausch and Lannett to resolve allegations that the companies engaged in long-running conspiracies to inflate & manipulate generic prescription drug prices.

This settlement is about accountability & fighting for working families.
AG Rayfield announces $17.85m settlement to bring down the cost of prescription drugs for working families Today, AG Rayfield and a coalition of 48 states & territories announced two settlements with Lannett Company, Inc. and Bausch Health US, LLC and Bausch Health Americas, Inc., totaling $17.85 million, to resolve allegations that the companies engaged in widespread, long-running conspiracies to artificially inflate and manipulate prices, reduce competition, and unreasonably restrain trade with regard to numerous generic prescription drugs. “For many working families, generic drugs are the difference between being able to afford their medication and going without it. When drug companies collude to raise prices and shut out competition, they made those essential medications more expensive for families who depend on them. This settlement is about accountability – and about putting people over profits.”

We are publicly condemning the U.S. DOJ’s attempt to coerce Minnesota into sharing private SNAP & Medicaid data and voter information.

We recently challenged similar actions here in Oregon – and were successful – and we will continue to stand firm against unlawful federal interference. #orpol

Just last week, the judge in Oregon’s case learned about AG Bondi’s letter and was so alarmed that he immediately convened a hearing to demand the Administration explain its motives. The judge rightly dismissed the federal lawsuit seeking our state’s unredacted voter rolls. No state – whether it’s Oregon or Minnesota – should be strong-armed into handing over private data.” What happened: On January 24, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz demanding that Minnesota turn over sensitive Medicaid & SNAP data and give the federal government access to Minnesota voter information, in exchange for the withdrawal of federal agents from the state. Our coalition argues that these demands intrude on state sovereignty and threaten the constitutional balance of power between the states and the federal government.
