The only time I ever had anything stolen out of my car was when some thief broke into every car in the apartment parking lot and robbed everyone blind but all he stole from mine was a bottle of ice melt spray

Being in my 40s has mostly been learning that all the things I was told were no big deal or not actually a real problem were in fact causing me real actual PTSD that's lasted for decades.

I worked at a Home Depot as a plant vendor during Christmas and they only played D-list Christmas songs. It's a Marshmallow World. Christmas on Christmas Island. First Toymaker to the King. Absolutely none of the top 10 hits. Not even the top 50. It was the weirdest thing.

So I got a cross stitch Advent calendar where every day is a new tiny project! So far the fabric they use is TERRIBLE (it's like thin felt with plastic thread glued on a grid on top) and the first project used a color the kit didn't come with. Yet day one still came out pretty cute!

The other day I heard a sound outside my apartment window that could only be described as "a very large truck hitting the speed bump on the parking lot as fast as humanly possible and certainly causing damage" followed by a soft but very clear sound of someone clapping sarcastically

I went to a "Christmas Market" today that was pretty meh (and a large part either 3D printed crap or stuff bought on Temu) but I did get this amazing cast iron rubber ducky
