Inserting faked evidence into the files? I think that we have just witnessed a federal crime.

Will Trump’s current DOJ prosecute its own officials for violating the law? Doubtful, however, lawmakers noted that the statute of limitations for such violations would extend into future administrations. Any official currently "covering up" evidence could face criminal charges years down the line.
