Learning how to fall in ju-jutsu for 7 years was worth it I see. (There was a metal lid 1 cm lower than the floor in infield.) #rollerderby #referee
Work is over for the year, roller derby is on Christmas break and I've had a cough for a week. For months I've been living with mostly stress and determination keeping me moving and now that I don't have anything to force me forward it's wild how hard the tiredness hits.

My only coworker who knows how to do stuff was sick for two days and now that he's back it feels like princess treatment. What do you mean he sets up the new pallet of bottles or takes away the full pallet of product while I prepare the empty one? I don't have to do everything myself? :0

I've been kind of burt out by roller derby but today I coached beginners and I'm full of love and energy again. They're so excited and motivated and hyped that I can't help being hyped too. They did hitting today and they were so brave, focused and strong.

I thought my coworker just didn't bother with work, but turns out he would rather eat pudding with a knife than wash a spoon. So I guess he won't be bothering with anything at all. (This is why I, the only not man at work, have one of each cutlery I use and wash and hide.)

It must have been at least 4 years since I played roller derby with my own team against another team and yesterday I finally got to do it again. It was just as good as it gets. The pre game self care, special game day snacks, stupid jokes in the chat, new skaters being brave, post game burgers...

I love roller derby but sometimes it's basically a second job and I wonder what I could and would do with my time if it wasn't filled with meetings and tasks. Like literally my weekly task list is like 5 personal tasks and 15 roller derby tasks.
