I’ve only seen Avatar (2009) once. Several years ago, on a plane headed to Florida, on my very outdated iPhone with no headphones, subtitles only. I have no idea how anything or anyone in that movie sounds and I am wholly happy with that. Don’t ever show me that movie for real.

Today I ate too many cookies, which was good, but also my grandmother gave me her jewelry in an “I won’t need this anymore very soon” sort of way which forced me to reckon with her mortality and so I am a little depressed.

Thinking about the time I went to the doctor and she asked when my last period was. I told her the start and end dates (which were 15 days apart - I’m trying to demonstrate there’s an issue here) and this woman looks me directly in the eyes and says “Stop - I only need to know the start date.”
