We had 1200-1500 in Clear Lake, TX. There were 1700 RSVPs, but I don’t think there were quite that many there.

It is also in the other National Cemeteries and the cemeteries of those who, like my Dad, chose to be buried next to my Mom in a non-military cemetery, but in the military section.

Not sure what this means, but I looked up to see this beautiful rainbow. No rain, just the rainbow. Is this a sign that the Rapture is upon us?

This man, my Dad, was proudly AntiFa. I come from a very long line of folks who have resisted authoritarianism and monarchical regimes. I’m old, but I still have fight left in me. My ancestors fight goes back to the Revolutionary War. I will not give up what they fought for.

My grandfather lost 3 siblings between November 15, 1874 and January 7, 1875. Not sure which disease they got, but probably either measles or diphtheria. Had they had the vaccines then that we have now, this would not have happened. My heart hurts for my g-grandparents having to bury 3 in 6 weeks.

I have a visitor on my back porch. She’s a Vine Sphinx Moth. I think she’s using my covered porch to get out of an incoming storm.

Caught this picture right after one climbed out of the larva shell. This is how they mostly look in Texas. I think this is the 7 year cycle one.

My daughter has a torti with extra floof in the rear end. She keeps that area trimmed just to prevent that. Her name is Nim, but we usually call her flufferbutt.

This is what mine looks like…sort of. I had it inserted in 1984, but the “tail” was snipped so short that I would require a full dilation to remove it. So it’s still there…even though I passed menopause 15 years ago. 🤷♀️

I call that one my bowling ball. I have to put her in a crate (her house) to eat because she will shove the others out of their bowls and eat all of theirs, then go eat her own. She’s the one on the edge.

The 3rd one kept knocking over the feeder trying to get more food. So I ordered a new cord, wrapped it in pipe insulation and black gorilla tape, then taped it to a table leg. 🤣 the things we do for our cats!
