I also hope other artists follow suit. the lack of overt protest art/music has been, um, noticeable (compared to the 60s).

I bet Stephen Miller will think this is the coolest thing ever, but a lot of those ICE guys seem to be exactly the right demographic to have a "wait, *are* we the baddies?" moment in response.

I'm holding onto this notion.

it is REALLY good. I also love when Ishtar makes her pitch, and he's like, "absolutely not." an absolutely brutal rejection. a thing of beauty.

I haven't seen that one, but the Wikipedia entry does read like a pretty standard Statham plot. I'll have to look for the movie, though.

oh, I think he can do both comedy and action. but he can't do serious, and he can't transform himself. you never forget that he's Jason Statham. (which is actually why he worked in Spy, I think.)

I get that it's hard to accept that you'll never win an Oscar (or whatever), but there's also dignity in consistently doing your thing.

his career is a testament to the power of knowing your brand and sticking to it. he's not a versatile actor, but he knows exactly what works for him (and the audience), and he delivers it over and over again. honestly, A+ for that.
