What are your reading plans? I just started a fantasy audiobook, I have a library loan ending soon, and a library hold just became available. It might be a lot, but since we have a winter storm warning, there might be a lot of time for it too. My e-reader is charged! What about you?

Recently, my fellow authors reminded me that things don't happen if you don't talk about them, so here I am, telling you that my last year's novel, Memories of Sorcery and Sand is eligible for this year's Hugos, if you've read it and enjoyed it enough to consider nominating it.

Another Wednesday, another piece of 3d art! This is an older image which I made to test a new character and tattoos. Then, I went to town with postwork, and here it is, Damascus Joe, fighting evildoers in cyberspace.

January's trying to get away from me, but I haven't forgotten about the bimonthly blog post. If you missed any of my art in the past 2 months, you can now view them all on my website!

It took me a little longer than expected, since I'm of a mindset that revisions are better done well than fast, but I'm finally done with all the revision rounds for Sanguine Scenario. A double yay, right?
The next stage is the editor while I focus on the cover and other goodies.

Continuing my week of 5 year anniversary celebration, I have a game for you! Choose which characters of Pacts Arcane and Otherwise are good or evil! Reply in comments or save the image and use arrows or colors to pick! If you haven't read the full series yet, don't worry! Make a guess!

Today is the 3d art day, and keep it in the spirit of the 5 year anniversary celebrations, I'm sharing Kamira and Veelk, the main duo of my epic fantasy series. I made it over a year ago but never shared and then, I created new characters for covers, and forgot all about this image.

For today's anniversary celebration I have a bit of trivia for you. Did you know that the two books you've read in the series used to be just one book?
January 13, 2026 at 2:13 PM
TIL that By the Pact, my epic fantasy with its implied-only adult scenes and the most gory scene of eye gouging being a whole sentence long is "nsfw 18+ hard content," but if you're looking for 18+ content of either the erotic or gore nature (or both), you'll be very disappointed.

Continuing the celebration of 5 years since By the Pact, my debut and first book in Pacts Arcane and Otherwise released, here are some numbers for the whole series.
I was considering including reviews and ratings, but with 20 stores and 4 books in the series... this would be hard.

Anniversaries have a way of sneaking up on me, and this one is no different. My debut novel, By the Pact, the first in epic fantasy series was released exactly 5 years (and 1 day) ago. Since then, I finished this series, published another one, and added a standalone to the list.

For the first piece of 3d art this year, I'm sharing "Breaking the Curse." May it turn out an omen and we break the curse of bad news and misfortunes and see a glimmer of a brighter future.

Do you think Kaja is the kind of person who would do "something like that again" anyway? Or maybe something even more "daring"?

Since it's that time of the year again, here's your annual reminder that unless you're reading for specific reasons, reading is not supposed to be a chore, and a source of stress and frustration. Join reading challenges if you like, but don't let them affect your joy of reading!

Since today is the last day of the old year, a 3d art piece featuring a portal seemed like a good choice.
It's been now, I think, 3 years since I started sharing my 3d art, but I'm primarily author, not an artist. Do you enjoy seeing it here? Should I continue it in 2026?
