"Testing models" is a common theme in my 3D journey. I buy them, so I want to try them out and put them together in unexpected ways. A demon leading his army sounds like appropriately creepy render for a Halloween season, don't you think?

New book review: In Demon Siege - the fourth & last book of Pacts Arcane and Otherwise, by @authorjmac.bsky.social, we say a bittersweet goodbye to a highly competent trio who repeatedly rose up to challenges, demonic and otherwise, far beyond their wildest expectations. 🔗🧵

The questionable quality of my brain's thoughts at 3am: "Sometimes you can't sleep because you're too awake."
I suppose it does explain, though, what am I doing up at instead of being in bed.

There’s nothing wrong with reading for pleasure AND wanting/hoping/trying to read more books. ;)

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 10009:
Beware of people who give writing advice for a living, rather than writing books for a living. And beware of people telling you about *the publishing business* who don't currently work in the publishing business.

But at least our struggle is more pleasant than shoveling snow :)

I feel like at my current rate (and the rate I add books to my TBR), I'll be done about the time the Sun starts burning out.

How is your reading plan going this year? Because this picture sums up mine quite accurately... And it just keep snowing new books ;)
A roof covered in heavy snow with the text "to be read" over it and a tiny portion of it cleaned off snow with the text "books read this year."

PSA: If you sign up for an author's newsletter to get the free book, don't be a jerk in return. Unsubscribe instead of marking the email _you signed up for_ as spam.
We're ok if you just want the book. But marking our email as spam is like saying thank you with a punch to the face.

Sounds like a good idea for people who like this kind of breakfast :)

If they were warm, I wouldn't have resisted, but they were yesterday's, so there was less incentive.

There's a whole sheet of chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen.
Yet, I decided to be an adult and have a proper breakfast.
I might have some regrets about it.

Sometimes, you don't know people in other countries do things differently until you meet them. And sometimes, like Albert, you still don't know much to Kaja's dismay ;)
Image featuring three covers for Shadows of Eireland by Joanna Maciejewska series (Humanborn, Myth-Touched, and Snake Bitten) with the quote: He pointed at the chair, and while I hung my coat on the hanger in the corner, he made some tea. Of course, I had to snatch the mug before he added milk to it. Regardless of how much time we’d spent together, he still didn’t remember this little bit about me. Polish people in general, and me in particular, didn’t put milk in their tea, and no years on the Emerald Isle or sleeping with a Brit would change that.

Jennifer L. Armentrout and Hellmann's
In a promotion designed for BookTok enjoyment, Jennifer L. Armentrout’s just-published THE PRIMAL OF BLOOD AND BONE is available in a special, limited-edition "garlic-scented copy, infused with Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli to create a one-of-a-kind, Craven-proof book." They explain: "This exclusive edition is printed with garlic-infused ink, designed to ward off Armentrout’s bloodthirsty monsters, the Craven. While humans may dread garlic breath, Hellmann’s has cleverly transformed this social faux pas into an unexpected – and delicious – form of supernatural protection."

Now that October is officially upon us, here's a question for you. Do you read spooky books in the spooky season? Or themed books like witches or ghost stories? Or is it business as usual?

Sending emails to solve various matters and problems is not my favorite morning activity, but here I am, plowing through the "to-write" list so that I can get back to revisions of my current book and brainstorm the next one.
