New book review: In Demon Siege - the fourth & last book of Pacts Arcane and Otherwise, by @authorjmac.bsky.social, we say a bittersweet goodbye to a highly competent trio who repeatedly rose up to challenges, demonic and otherwise, far beyond their wildest expectations. 🔗🧵

Jennifer L. Armentrout and Hellmann's
In a promotion designed for BookTok enjoyment, Jennifer L. Armentrout’s just-published THE PRIMAL OF BLOOD AND BONE is available in a special, limited-edition "garlic-scented copy, infused with Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli to create a one-of-a-kind, Craven-proof book." They explain: "This exclusive edition is printed with garlic-infused ink, designed to ward off Armentrout’s bloodthirsty monsters, the Craven. While humans may dread garlic breath, Hellmann’s has cleverly transformed this social faux pas into an unexpected – and delicious – form of supernatural protection."

This is one of Peter's best books and you should really pick it up.

And he didn't even pay me to say that.

WELP the stupidest idiots in history are in charge of the country, but I'm still required to tell you it's exactly SIX WEEKS until the release of GOD'S JUNK DRAWER.

And, hey, semi-related, do you need someone fun to interview for your website? Your podcast? Your late-night talk show? Let me know!
The cover for GOD'S JUNK DRAWER by Peter Clines, showing a dinosaur skeleton in a black void, along with a space suit helmet, a human skull, a bionic arm, and a stone-tipped spear.

So, normally I read 1–3 books per month. In September I read 7.

RARE is an anthology all about keeping secrets, with a mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and horror.

MMM by @paulgzareith.ink is a novella that really surprised me. It's got a fun mix of epic fights and conspiring against the crown.

I updated the covers for Pacts Arcane and Otherwise almost two months ago, but I never shared their print versions (I was waiting for my copies and then... well, forgot), so here they are! My ancient phone camera doesn't catch book 2's subtle blue hues well, though. Sorry!

A Queen in Blood is still #88 on the new releases list for #DarkFantasy after 3 weeks. Can’t quite believe it. Never happened before to this indie author. If you’re looking for something dark and on the edge of gritty #fantasy, where there is hope but paid for in blood and souls then👇

Quite a beautiful review of my little novella, The Moribund Monarch's Masterpiece, by Vivian Cicero from Grimoire Ink.

It's always delightful to know that something I wrote evokes such strong emotions in a reader & that alone makes participating in #SFINCS worth it for me.
