This time of year is fucking hard. The holidays are a fertile ground for dark thoughts. Loneliness can drown you, even when you're surrounded by people. Take care of yourself. If you feel like you're drowning in darkness, please talk to someone. Friend, family, stranger. Anyone.

You deserve love.

Crazy year. A lot of things transpired, but most of all, I am short of a family member (RIP Big Brother).

That won't stop me. Now I have a bigger purpose to write.

My sister, My Mom, my brother. For me.

It's time. 2026 will be a great year. I can feel it.

Gonna have to be a bit more vihilamt this year as far as writing goes. Working on a horror novel with 1000 words so far.

Let's see where this goes

Any writers have any other goals this 2025?

I only started publishing in 2023 at the age of 40. I ended that year with 4 pub’d stories and a completed MS that I began querying.

I began 2024 by signing with an amazing agent. And I’m ending it with 9 pub’d stories and 8 essays.

Sharing this for anyone experiencing doubt.

I've been writing professionally for almost two decades (???) including publishing 7 books (and another forthcoming) and helping run a lit mag for 7 years. I've learned some important lessons in that time.
