Turner and Constable gallery exhibition at Tate Britain.

Constable - solid, workmanlike, somewhat dreary, occasionally inspired.

Turner - hats off gentlemen, a genius.

They surely competed!

In footie terms, 7 goals to 2 win for JMWT.

Both the images from circa 1817.

Why is there a thick metal chain enveloped by a meaty tree trunk?

I don't know.

Pimlico, London.

A twice-decorated war hero.

Decorated in 1944 by both the main opposing forces in WW2. Britain (OBE, Nov 1944) and Germany (Iron Cross, July 1944).

Agent Alaric and Agent Garbo were really the very same Spanish man.

His own 'death' from malaria in 1949 was faked. He died at peace in 1988 aged 76.
