replaced an X-T30 with this X100VI. I have a bad habit of over-thinking everything and swapping out lenses constantly. the amount of primes i had was getting insane and i hated lugging it around. thinking I'll have a lot more fun with a simple fixed lens system plus all the benefits of an X-T5

depends! my work allows us to do this as a benefit because it’s usually cheaper. it’ll just be billed to us instead of work. also depends on the con. if they book the entire hotel block for the con then obviously it won’t work. If they don’t then the hotel will have a section for business travelers

also they usually put me on the same floor where they put all the business travelers and flight crew. i get like the weirdest interactions when I’m going to and from my room in fursuit 😅

i usually book my con hotels through my work’s corporate account to avoid room lottery but because of that every time i check in, i have to go through the whole spiel with the front desk of them explaining to me what a furry is, what’s going on in the hotel and if i liked to be transferred elsewhere

hey artists your art doesn’t suck and people still want them just as ever! commissions are slow ‘cause things in the world look unstable atm and that causes people to cut their spending/save up. I know I’ve drastically cut my spending in the past year. shit sucks and i wish we could do more for ya

I posted on Mastodon that people’s experience on Mastodon tends to be tainted by the fact that newcomers will likely get scolded by random strangers long before they can find their footing, and within three hours I had this lovely response from a random (white Irish) stranger.
