Old-school blogger, and grumpy with it.
Nope. Even Riley Gaines is a decent swimmer, just not good enough to place. This essay never even qualified.

My sixth grade English teacher would have dragged me around the room by my hair.

Also, AI tends to tie its repetitions together with details and citations, which are significantly missing from this paper. She didn't even have a single quote from God, who she alleges is the source of these beliefs.

I was just thinking that - she had to write a paper that was bad enough to fail so she could scream about discrimination later and get the prof fired.

Need everyone laser focused on the fact the mom is anti-trans, the person grading the paper is trans, and this girl is trying out for the grifting circuit.

That's it.

The content of the paper is meaningless, the only goal here is getting a trans person fired and a grift running.

What argument? She doesn't really have an argument, she just *says*. What was the purpose of the paper, again? I mean, you seem to be saying that any old piece of rubbish gets a passing grade just because.

Centrist *pops out of a trash can* you didn't even let them explain their reasoning

It was just repetitive restatement of her view. It's a terrible piece of writing and she should have been failed even if the teacher agreed with her.

She didn't even quote God. I mean, it was just a terrible paper all the way around.

I would have thought at least a couple of quotes from the Bible would have been mandatory given the basis of her argument. "God said..." Oh? Where did he say it, then? You wouldn't have to empirically prove that what God said is true, but by God I'd expect you to prove that God said it!

Exactly. It's a one-sentence "argument" with no citations, no expansion, no reasoning. "It just IS." I'd have failed her even if I agreed with her.

I was writing better papers than that in grade school and they also had the virtue of being shorter so no one had to fall asleep reading them.

I always gave that answer, but nobody listened.

Let's not forget that Senator Barack Obama dissuaded Democrats from filibustering Roberts' nomination.
