It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

Members of Congress are currently allowed to buy and sell stocks while they’re making rules regulating those same companies and markets. That creates an obvious conflict of interest and erodes trust in our government.

A federal appeals court has allowed Trump’s National Guard deployment to continue for now. The court didn't make a final ruling on the merits. When it does, it should end the deployment. It’s a dangerous abuse of power that violates federal and DC law.
