For the Slavery Wasn't Bad crowd:

Let's leave something extremely clear.

SLAVERY was BAD, it was so bad that the darkest part of it, turned into folklore and horror stories, was so bad that books were written about it, it was so bad that the Art inspired for it continued being censored.

I'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.

Before you are locked out of your systems, ensure you have copies of unclassified performance appraisals, awards & other relevant personnel docs.

If you have access to your office, grab your more important personal items sooner rather than later.

Not everyone can fight Trumpism and Trumpists directly. But remember this: kindness, decency, and fidelity to American values are defiance in the face of Trumpism.

So be kind, decent, and faithful, particularly to the many kinds of people despised and attacked by Trumpists. That’s revolutionary./1
