Agreed. Malinski has developed into a serviceable d-man. He's got a wicked shot and analysts refer to him as a poor man's Makar. I'd take that type of d-man in my 3rd pairing any day.

I love Sammy G as a puck moving d-man. I hate Sammy G as a defender. It's been 3 straight games of this. I don't have to look at advanced stats. The eye test says he's a liability in the d-zone.
