An hour til stranger things finale. While I'll always hope a sci-fi/fantasy series can stick the landing, given the way too long lead up, massive amount of characters, retcon to what we knew (feels like they're winging it), past experience with shows that got too big, I'm pessimistically cautious

If streaming services increase prices, they should at least add some features. Like Playlists, make a playlist of eps of your fave shows & let it just play those (Peacock has holiday Playlists, but if you start with 1st ep, when done, it doesn't go to next xmas ep, it goes to the next ep in season)

Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract.

Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working.

We need new leaders in the Senate.

TurboTax makers Intuit have lobbied the government for years to block free public tax-filing.

Now Trump has terminated the free IRS Direct File program, nearly a year after Intuit gave his inauguration $1M.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

This is Adelita Grijalva. She was elected 43 days ago.

Republicans still refuse to swear her in because she is the final vote needed to release the Epstein Files.

Trump: "For generations Miami has been a haven for those fleeing communist tyranny in South Africa. I mean, if you take a look at what's going on in parts of South Africa. Look at South Africa, what's going on. Look at South America, what's going on. You know, we have a G20 meeting in South Africa."

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

stating the obvious but if the democrats damaged the white house to build a gaudy oligarch dance room (in the middle of a government shutdown hurting people's livelihoods, no less) it would be a two month relentless news cycle

this story won't survive past Tuesday afternoon

“$37 MILLION.”
“How much did you pay in taxes.”
“2-3 MILLION. Don’t blame me, change the tax code.”

“If he wins I’ll leave.”🤔

PSA: It’s not “social media” souring young people on capitalism. It’s greed.

JOHNSON: No. It's scheduling

NN: But there have been Rs sworn in during pro forma sessions

MJ: Only reason was bc they flew in their family

NN: So if she flies in her family you'd do it?

MJ: Again, it's a distraction
