You should care about human rights w/o the pressure of “I’m next.” If we’re not free until we’re all free, then we aren’t f*cking free.

Organizing is on every one of us. It can be as small as checking in on your neighbors and creating an emergency phone tree if someone needs help. It can be identifying needs where you live and working with others to fill them. It can be a community pod that shares resources.

A simple thing you can do is refuse to answer the gender question and the last menstrual period question with medical contact. If they press, ask if it will directly impact the care you’re receiving. This helps even if you are cis because it makes identifying those that are not harder.
