I'm pretty sure most real single parents with less financial backup have way better social-network supports. At least we can afford daycare and everything, but we don't dare try to get a babysitter for this gremlin

Dunno if the worry about everyone around us hating us was a valid concern, or just an overreaction to an overreaction; but hearing it made me suddenly feel the need to bawl, except my body wouldn't let me
