Honestly it's one of the most underrated features of the coordinated conservative propaganda machine: they can do stuff like make gay marriage the number one social issue in American politics for 10 years in a row, then, as soon as the polling turns, completely abandon it, and the base just forgets!
I know the phrase “Someday everyone will have been against this,” but ngl I didn’t expect to see this kind of reversal from the chuddiest little freaks happening so quickly.

If you're just looking to slam down some cardboard and turn it sideways, go off, but the format's diversity WILL lead to situations like "what do you mean that you don't understand this four piece combo that's been around since 2009's hit set Zendikar?"

Truthfully, it ultimately comes down to your pod. Hopefully, playing with people who understand your experience with the game and help further it (assuming that's what you want).

Commander has this paradox of being both the most popular format (due to the availability of nearly every card in the game and generally being seen as more "casual") and also being the most complex due to the exact same thing.
