And a moa with a long tail would look just as non-avian, superficially speaking

What's particularly interesting is that spinosaurs seem to have consistently preyed upon pterosaurs, which reminds me of crocodilians snatching aquatic birds. I can imagine these pterosaurs being at their most vulnerable while feeding in water.

The name Bakiribu waridza derives from Kariri words: bakiribú (“comb”) and waridzá (“mouth”), referring to the animal’s comb-like dentition. The name also honors the Indigenous peoples native to the Araripe region, Brazil.

Death isn't particularly taboo in these shows, to the contrary it's often good for drama. Gore is way more frowned upon.

Counterintuitively, baby deaths tend to be less gruesome, so they're more spammable.

Having seen a 20 minute dragging of a screaming, bleeding deer out of shallow water, just for the dragon to start consuming it while it still screams at every bite, and then ripping off the deer's unborn fawn out of it... Yeah I'm not expecting that lol

Yeah or cutting to deal done, which is unfortunately done in real live footage documentaries already

Yeah Komodo dragon hunts are GRUESOME, but still... To have the largest monitor lizard ever and not hint at the fact that Komodo dragons consistently punch above their weight (or close to it) would be a shame

I wonder if we're going to see some megalania action here, since we're seeing it trying to snatch a small thing in the trailer

If giant otters didn't exist today, I would definitely be inclined to think these looked "off"... But extant giant otters do look off for an otter lol

Crossing fingers for the first proper one, I'm very optimistic

That's fine, my real issue is the oversized orangutan/bigfoot trope. A few nods aren't a problem.

Fatal mistake! Always think of the biggest extinct relatives!

(Jk aside, it's mostly me venting my hype for PhP Ice Age)

Funny thing is that they probably still were our ancestors nightmare, just floofier

For sure. I wonder if there'll be a greater degree of wildlife footage integration.
