Turned itself on
Would not turn off
Instructed how to tell it to stop (did not stop)
Instructed how to tell it to play music (did not music)

After setting the volume to 0 and sitting in silence, an advertisement forced the volume back on

Less cynically, you know what the FA moderators did that no one else has done in the past… 10 or so years? They improved over time.

Other sites don’t do that. Investor run websites don’t get better.

Even if you’re cynical and rely just on risk assessment: how is FA not the better option over twitter, Bluesky, tumblr, or a mastodon vis a vis randomly disappearing people and their posts

It's a good website and a good place to host your art

I love seeing art on bluesky but if you post art you should be posting across as many platforms as possible for your own sake.

Yeah tbh I often wonder the same.

It’s really hard to measure labor in certain terms, but the times I’ve seen it used in software lead to dramatically longer code reviews
