Is Bluesky where we can be honest about how we really feel? If so, the #syrian situation has been witnessed countless times in western backed Middle Eastern contexts (Libya,Iraq, Afghanistan). The euphoria of freedom will fade quickly once reality kicks in i.e the rebels are not what they seem.

I’m sure they’re just deeply concerned about the lives and wellbeing of the people of Iran, just like we are so worried about the freedom and dignity of the people of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Egypt, the Gaza Strip and West Bank: people who now lead lives free from tyranny, fear and violence.
