fancy car meets? i don't understand that sort of poor city behaviour since we have fancy private helicopter meets.
a photo taken from a third floor window looking out at a riverfront green space that has a collection of five private helicopters of different makes, models, and visual decoration. a collection of people walk around them, with some high end people moving vehicles around to shuttle the richy riches.

Spent a four day work junket in Cairns with Nikki, didn't get many photos because i was too in the moment (freaked out by how much geography there was)

- went snorkelling on the great barrier reef
- took my good hairspray and hairdryer, everyone loved the mohawk
a photo from a hotel balcony showing a tropical destination with lots of palm trees and houses and roads built to channel away rapid water accretion. in the distance there's tall hills and mountains but not that far in the distance and oh my god there's so many of them. a marina full of boats on the ocean but right across the bay there's more land and immediately that land is devoured by massive hills and the clouds are so low because somehow we are both at sea level and near the penthouse of the tower of babel a reverse mirror selfie? Az takes a selfie over their shoulder at the hotel mirror behind them showing off the back of their head and their tall, spiked high mohawk. they are wearing a mesh-backed singlet which shows off their decently shaped shoulders and part of a cute back tattoo consisting of the silhouettes of a crow and two panthers all following each other. a view out a plane window at night, directly over the wing which is lit up to highlight the Qantas logo. below the plan stretches the never-ending sprawl of a return flight to Perth, lights in every direction glimmering of home.

working on a project to add a Digital Elevation model to my Satisfactory server map but it was going to take ~28days to finish processing.

asked myself "WWSD" (what would @shrydar.bsky.social do) and optimised it down to 2hrs
part of the map from Satisfactory with a red line and a single icon showing a truck traveling across part of the world. the map looks like a standard web map interface using WebGL to display it with a certain pitch so you can see the rise and fall of terrain. a bit spotty in places where i lack data but a solid first draft.

when is GIS not GIS? when your only option for rain radar is a PNG!

spent a few hours comparing landmarks and counting pixels until i could pick out my locale in the BoM weather radar and add it to my dashboard.

obviously not going out now, that's fukt m8.
an old 4:3 LCD monitor that looks like it was nicked from bulk rubbish collection sits on a desk displaying a terminal interface. at the bottom are a few labels for time and temp but the majority of the display is taken up by an old-school looking graph plotting a series of shapes in either bright green and red squares or dull green and red dots, sort of like shapes on a map. there's also two sine waves that are slightly out of phase going across the graph but they don't seem to serve any purpose except to look cool. which they do.

New month, new meer-goat!?! on my amazing calendar from @shmouflon.scorpinc.social ! Time to party like it's the 1880's!
A calendar open to June 2025 with the caption "My fur isn't white it's just reflective!" The photo shows a goat poking her head between the balusters of a fence and perhaps bleating that caption at the cameraperson. Her tall horns are a good warning not to push the subject if people don't want to get headbutted around a bit, especially since her fur is definitely white despite appearances. There is none of the white, fox grey, or Mallen streaks of old age on this goat, definitely not, no sirree.

Big fan of how in Sand Castle (2017), Henry Cavill had a buzz cut and the world's worst beard and so angered everyone he promised never to do it again, keeping his promise in Argylle (2024) where he debuted a clean shaven face and the world's worst haircut.

He is covered in dirt and blood with a #2 clippers buzzcut and overgrown facial hair consisting of heavy sideburns and full chops/cheek/chin/philtrum/neck covereage. This is the look of someone who films FB rants in his lifted F150 while wearing Oakleys. I cannot overstate how fuck ugly that beard is on 2013's "World's Sexiest Man". Henry Cavill in Argylle (2024) wearing a forest green velour jacket with a high collar buttoned up completely, covering his neck. His face is clean shaven but his head has some monstrosity where a stylist has frankensteined a "sweetheart neckline" as a hairline that is spiked straight up. The voluminous effect and flat top nature of it is giving "80's synth band" while the clipped sides at about a #5 ruin any chance of that. To top it off, the hairline at the temples have been finished with the surgical precision of a father with a new edge trimmer, truly a hairpiece of all time.
