Also for my monsterfucker friends I don't think it's impossible to imagine on ao3 even if it wasn't the focus of the movie. [Badlands spoilers] I liked the emphasis on empathy not making you weaker, something I already felt in Prey. Working with what the planet gives you def follows the 1st movie.
