We are all in a state of constant panic and terror. It’s important to take a second when you see something online that triggers you to ask yourself “am it really triggered or am I just experiencing nonstop psychic damage from the world and my brain sees this as an outlet for my fear and rage.”

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

There is a special place in hell for professors who annoy their students.
The cartoon by Tom Gauld shows three characters inside a cave-like "hell". In the centre stands a devil figure with horns, a tail, a trident, and a medallion. On the left is a woman, drawn as a professor, and on the right is a man in a suit raising his hand. The devil says: "Welcome to Science Hell, Professor. This is Tony, he once saw something on the internet about your field of expertise and is going to spend eternity lecturing you on it." The joke is that the professor's personal hell is being endlessly "educated" by a layperson armed with internet half-knowledge.
