people kept jeering at me, acting strangely and giving me weird looks, some would come and insult me or even go as far as pull my tail,

I get kinda blasé about drivers nearly killing me through incompetence but I was late to work and got to see my regular commute done by high school kids on bikes and by the end I was genuinely furious at how actively hostile this country is to anyone not inside a car.
