I think it's just my complete lack of knowledge in this kind of area and my anxiety that led me to worry.

Not the same of course, but many moons ago when there was an issue with the power cable to a lamp, I was able to wire the lamp's plug correctly.

A redundant skill these days of course, but felt good that I was able to get it done.
