I'm not sure any of this is a good idea.
Systemic control has been for decades in the hands of people who accepted child rape as normal, and participated as a badge of coolness. Who's running supply for them now?

RICO.

It is an experience of child abuse to live with someone who uses hate to manage a fear of weakness. It is child abuse to teach a child to hate the weak. Better a millstone be hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

The first thing a person might do with voter data is make a detailed map. Many other pieces of information might be cross-referenced to make other maps, very useful in planning, erm, let's call them personally customized marketing initiatives.

I read aloud the Bill of Rights today, for the second year. Next year I intend to invite friends to join for this and share a meal. We'll read these Rights, the preamble to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Emancipation Proclamation.

Chaos serves the hidden swirls of power. Plant the garden, feed the hungry, attend or play live music, gather with our friends, play games, and laugh: They may strip our security in law, but be damned if they make us forget our lives were meant light hearted. Not one penny of that to tyrant power.

For some, gaining power causes the brain to switch off human sympathy and tolerance for considering diverging opinions. Others' brain's malfunction causes them to seek power. Both sets lust for proximity to power, to gain it by association or to prove dominance.

I've never questioned my father's love,
that giraffe, with its deep, pleading eyes
and slow, leafy agenda,
though no one, not even my mother,
could tell me what was going on
in its head.
Today’s #poetryprompt:

I want you to zoomorphize a concept (Imagine it as an animal). An emotion, a memory, a state of being.

For example, I have imagined silence as a dog.

I don't want a health care system. I want a health care culture. Where we want to take care of each other; where we want each other cared for. Shareholder profits are incompatible with this idea.

Not: "Fed up Dems put heat on..." Instead say: "Fed up people." Screw the badges. E pluribus unum. Muddy those waters.

Our culture could benefit from formal "emeritus" structures in any and all halls of power, from the smallest local charity board to the U.S. Senate.

What's the point of deterrence against Russia if one is bent on transformation into what looks just like the Russian police state? Remove the wall of personal liberties, and Alaska becomes a door.

But do we need a presidency?

Decide to read something. Decide to cook. Decide to sing. Decide to rest. Get up. Swing on em. Pivot. Help somebody else. You've decided to be human. No time for anything else.

My best pal and I made tie dye shirts, and then we rode our bikes.
Tell me something that brought you joy this week.

Any old thing will do. Small joys are as good as big ones—sometimes even better.

They aren't the Gestapo. They are the Oprichniki. The model isn't Hitler. It's Tsarist Russia.

Nobody buys a drill bit because they want a drill bit; they buy a drill bit because they want a hole. I want leaders and workers to go shoulder to shoulder in making and tending a good country; I have no loyalty to party apparatus otherwise.

Your attention is being auctioned & the winner shapes your worldview.

They don’t need to “read your mind”

they just study micro-decisions.

Hover time, tap patterns, eye tracking.

Psychology says: predict the small, and you’ll control the big.

Your attention is being auctioned
& the winner shapes your worldview.

The vast majority of humans live in nightmarish insecurity. A vanishing few have attained security; others have enough to hope for security. Then there are the rich. 1% of humans hold half of the resources that keep us alive. Insecurity kills, but slowly, and the rich want slaves.

Convo with a 13yo girl about AI. "You know it makes mistakes, right?" I said. She fixed me with impatient pity. "Well sure, but," she said, "the problem is it's run by one or a very few people who just want to control what we know!" Right on, kiddo. Tell your friends.
