We work in the golden age for biomethane - NetZero, bio-CO2 to CCS, Reverse Compression and Bio-CNG trucks
The world would be a much darker place if US had banned exploring for onshore oil and gas in 2007 when it looked like there was no more resources to find

speaking at Biomethane conf today in Belfast

Am reminded of CCC report which did not promote the only way to make Biomethane economic in NI - displace diesel in HGVs

So there’s next to no projects. We need economic delivery of projects to be taken into account

Biomethane is the way to do Direct Air Capture with Mother Nature doing 80% of the heavy lifting

It’s a bit like building a hydro generation plant on a mountain instead of on a plain

When you think about it, it’s pretty obvious really!

You want CCS, but cheaper and less controversial? Try Biomethane
Carbon capture technology is often associated with ideas of capturing CO₂ from power plants or industrial facilities like cement plants. Biomethane upgraders provide CO₂ that is easy to capture and le...

The purpose of Green Gas Day is to share useful and valuable information to everyone interested in Biomethane

In summary - it’s great, get rid of diesel trucks by 2030, never vent CO2, never burn straw, try not to burn raw biogas!

And RC is great!

By 2035 when the load factor is <3% all the molecules can be Biomethane and the insurance policy can support the removal of dinosaur era CO2 at the Biomethane production plant

I would allow anaerobic digestion plants which capture the CO2 from the biogas upgrading plant (and send the C home after 50 years or so in the air) to be permitted development

They should not need planning consent
