I watch movies, read comics, buy crap I don’t need and go to the pub but I have weekends off and I am my own boss.
I can’t believe I forgot to tell everyone my big news - the other night I ate sprouts for the first time in my life and I didn’t hate them. Now I feel like I can do anything.

To be fair to King he’s always had shite taste in movies. You only have to look at some of the dreck he recommends.

This is ok if you’re in the right mood. An easy watch, fast moving and the tech weapons and vehicles are pretty cool. The actors aren’t given much to do and Leto, bless him, is as unlikeable as ever but it was better than I was expecting.
I was expecting it to be shite though so factor that in.

*Today’s awkward joke is brought to you by the good people at Fixadent*

Watching commercials on the telly and it’s just people trying to sell products to help you get fresh air into your house and then I remembered it was advent.

Watching the newly remastered Beatles Anthology. My third time watching the series since its original release in 95 (😳) and I just love it.
Something about that band that just makes me happy, obviously the music but the guys themselves fit so perfectly together.
Sadness too knowing what was to come.

I had fun with Besson’s wildly uneven but entertaining take on Dracula. Borrowing heavily from Coppola alongside hints of The Devils, Monty Python and even Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame, it’s a softer, more romantic Dracula. A lot of it doesn’t work but Jones is good and it’s visually impressive.

I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit with exercise over the last few months so, with tomorrow being Monday AND the 1st of December, I’ve decided to resume my 10k steps a day.
Hopefully it will help with the added lbs December always brings.

Horribly hungover today so the plan is to sit on the couch feeling sorry for myself and watch the Luc Besson Dracula movie. Trousers optional.

Group conversation in pub - anything I said, no matter how harmless, was met with one woman saying to the table “oh Tom is trying to say ….” - it was so annoying it’s hard to describe. I think it’s best if I just avoid her in future. So weird but I’ll just blame booze.

Ordered 4 4Ks in the Criterion sale in June. Was tracking them when the tracking suddenly read “a problem has occurred”. Contacted Amz USA and after a few more weeks waiting got a full refund. Today I got an email thanking me for returning the items. I’d love to know what exactly happened 🤔

Loved the first one but was always surprised we never got a sequel (it grossed over a billion 😳) until, 9 years later, we got a sequel. Safe to say if you enjoyed the 1st you’ll have a good time with this. A good story and likeable characters with some well earned laughs. Thumbs up from me.

Ooh Westworld and Excalibur coming from Arrow on 4K next Feb. Not a HUGE fan of Excalibur but Westworld will be hard to resist. Birth from Criterion too and several others I have my eye on. Jaysus 🙄

Finished Tulsa King and currently watching s2 of Landman and, if I’m being honest, I’m kinda sick of all the aulfellas in tv shows lately. Everyone is so grizzled and surly and AT LEAST 10 years past retirement age.

I put out my 93yr old neighbour’s bin every week. Woke up this morning in a panic that I’d forgotten to put it out. Put it out and have been regularly checking to see if it’s been collected all day. Just checked and still not been emptied then I remembered it’s not due for collection until tomorrow.

Saw a trailer last night for a new film called Primate about a family with a pet chimpanzee who gets bitten by a snake and goes on a murderous rampage. I love this time of year when the studios release all their big award hopefuls.

I can’t wait for that new Timmy Chalet May film where he plays a gifted table tennis player who invents an orange ball that’s easier to see said no one ever.

Went to the cinema last night. Allocated seating but there were no letters on the rows or numbers on the seats. It was like the opening of 2001: A Space Odyssey - people huddling in fear at the weird numberless system that had suddenly appeared before them.
